When You Feel Like Something is Missing

"Ask the question: How can I be used? Life, use me. Show me through my talents and my gifts, show me through what I know, what I need to know, what I have yet to learn, how to be used in the greater service to life. You ask that question and I guarantee you, the answer will be returned and rewarded to you with fulfillment, which is really the major definition of success for me." - Oprah Winfrey Have you ever asked yourself this question? How can I be used in this life? If you feel you are missing something, then you've probably don't have an answer on this question. Have you been busy and be distracted with daily life?  Unfortunately this is often the case when I coach women. I hear them saying that there is no time for that. That there are so many things that "need" to be done. But in this way, they are missing out on life. That is also what those women say: they feel that they are missing "something" in life. The answer to that question, how you can be used in life, is the key to your happiness and is the key to finding more meaning in your life.   It's the one thing that might be missing in your life. Discovering your purpose is the most significant thing you will do in your life.  But why do we keep stuck so often? Why do we keep holding on that busyness, that depletedness, that overwhelm?  Why do we accept for so long that we are missing something in life? The reason for that is that we often are hurt in the past. We have been damaged in some ways, and we have created a mindset of blame. We blame our past, our experiences and other people for our misery. We keep telling ourselves stories of hurt, pain and tragedy. We identify yourselves with these experiences and keep blaming ourselves and the world for where we are right now. We may not see the opportunities that are there. We are not open to change, because we have identified ourselves with being the "victim". When we take a look deep inside, we have taken on that role of being the victim, and our ego LOVES to have that identity. Years can pass living this way. We keep "blaming" our past, and our current experiences, and breaking away from that is hard, because it's...

How To Organise Your Life so That You Can Find Your Purpose

I remember vividly that I felt directionless. I was basically living a somewhat shallow life: on autopilot, just going on with day to day stuff, looking forward to the weekend where are the fun would happen. Constantly being distracted, and making sure I was distracted by drinking, eating, television and social media.  All for the purpose of filling a "void", the feeling of lack of focus, lack of direction and meaning.   I did not know my purpose. I did not know why I was on earth. Why I was made. So I lived "on the surface". Not wanting to dive deep into myself, looking deep within me to make a change. I didn't want to face the darkness, or was fearful for what would happen if I did find my purpose and my life had to change. This was me. Perhaps you recognise this, or you may feel this is more you: You know why you are here, but you are not living it. You know you are here for an important reason, you feel excited when you think about it, but you're being held back by all your limiting beliefs and fear. You may believe that you can't, and you prefer to stay in that safe bubble you're in now; at least it's predictable. In both examples, it means that you are separated with who you really are. You are separated from your PURPOSE.  And what do most people do when they are disconnected with who they really are? They distract themselves.  They put all their energy in their work, they tend to forget about their purpose by drinking, gambling, social media, watching TV, or any other "extreme",  so they won't feel the void. When you don't know your purpose or you do know your purpose,  but you're not living it, you can become depressed, anxious and have a feeling of constant disconnection to all those around you. When you connect with who you really are, you will find your purpose. Do you want to keep living this way? Do you truly want to continue living with a feeling of emptiness? I chose not to keep living like that. I didn't know what it was what I truly wanted, but I did decide that I didn't want to keep going like that. So I started connecting with who I really am. And from that decision, my life started to blossom. It was like the Universe was sending me ideas to explore....

Don’t Know What You Want? Follow These 10 Steps To Gain Clarity!

There were times in my life I was totally confused what I wanted out of life. Doubting lots of things, taking lots of new things on but never really being happy with the choices that I made.  Lack of clarity can give us overwhelm, can cause procrastination and indecisiveness. It's like you have no direction of where your life is heading. It caused me to become depressed and anxious. Until I made the decision to take control of it. When I made that decision it was like the world was opening up to me. Although I didn't have any clarity at first, changing my attitude towards not knowing what I wanted, opened up the path to getting all the clarity I needed.  The Universe showed me how to gain that clarity, step by step. When you have clarity in your life you get a sense of direction and purpose. You feel alive, excited and meaningful in your life. You feel you matter. You feel a sense of purpose, a deep feeling that connects you to who you are and why you're here on earth Okay, so let's get into this. Be 100% Responsible.  Responsible for your journey towards clarity. Make the decision to gain clarity and put in all your effort to get there. The only one who can give you clarity is YOU. Not someone else. You can have two options: decide you remain unclear, or decide to take effort to become clear and gain clarity. When I made the decision to change my life, although I didn't know what I wanted or how, I felt an immediate release of anxiousness. I knew I was the one responsible for gaining clarity. Take Action. Without action towards gaining clarity and direction is step number 2. Without proper action, you will stay where you are. What are ways for you to find clarity? Do you need to talk to people, read books or be still? One of the things I have been doing (and still do when I feel I need some clarity) is being still and meditate. I ask my mind to come up with answers when I'm still. Not when I'm running around in circles running errands. Experiment. Try new things, be creative. Start a hobby. This will all help you to gain clarity of what you want and what you don't want. Stop Distracting Yourself. One way to struggle with finding clarity...
